Liposuction for Men

Overview

Liposuction is the most common cosmetic procedure in the US. Although often considered a procedure used by females, male liposuction is becoming an increasingly popular procedure, especially in our image-driven society. Liposuction for men removes stubborn areas of fat that hinder your appearance and keep you from achieving the youthful, toned look you desire. This procedure removes fat by inserting a small tube into the body and suctioning out the fat, leaving patients with a slimmer, sculpted appearance.

The most common treatment areas for liposuction are the chest, flanks, abdomen, neck and chin, however it also targets

  • Upper arms
  • Cheeks
  • Back
  • Thighs
  • Knees
  • Calves
  • Buttocks
  • Hips
  • Ankles

Liposuction for men is effective for treating gynecomastia, an enlargement of the male breast tissue caused by a hormonal imbalance. This common condition can be treated through breast reduction surgery, but liposuction often offers the same effective results with minimal downtime and practically no visible scarring. Many men with gynecomastia only have a small amount of fat tissue that needs removal and can usually benefit from this procedure.

We offer traditional liposuction and SmartLipo for more subtle results which is less invasive. This procedure uses a small cannula (or tube) about the size of the tip of a pen, which inserts under the skin. The laser delivers energy directly to the fat cells through the cannula, causing them to rupture. The liquefied fat is then gently suctioned out. New collagen generates, resulting in tissue tightening.  SmartLipo creates a high definition, sculpted look by defining waistlines in women and abdominal muscles in men (six pack).
