What can I expect from my treatment?
Upon your appointment to Renewal Med Spa, one of our skilled nurse injectors will first cleanse the treatment area, then inject the filler which only takes a few short minutes. Afterwards, you will be able to see results immediately, however, optimal results will settle in after about four weeks. You may notice a bit of irritation shortly after treatment, but applying a bit of ice can cool any minor swelling.
Results can last up to a year and the most common side effects are temporary redness, tenderness or itching limited to the treatment site. What is the active ingredient in Juvéderm Volux®?
The active ingredient in Volux® is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a substance the skin naturally produces. As we get older, the levels of HA present in the skin begin to decline, resulting in a loss of volume and sunken or sagging cheeks. Volux® integrates into the existing collagen and elastin in the skin tissue to offer greater support and elasticity. This can provide a noticeable smoothing and firming affect to the skin and lend the facial structure more substantial definition.
Who is a good Candidates for Juvéderm Volux® Treatment?
Adults 21 and older who notice loss of definition to their chin or jaw line may be good candidates for treatment with Juvéderm Volux®. Typical early signs of aging may include a visible decrease in volume, a sagging of the cheeks or the loss of noticeable contour around the chin.
