Dr. Kelsey Lloyd is a board-eligible plastic surgeon who brings a thoughtful blend of artistic vision, technical precision, and compassionate care to Salem Plastic Surgery. A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Lloyd discovered her love for creativity early through painting and the visual arts—an interest that continues to shape her approach to plastic surgery, where she sees each patient’s care as both a technical and artistic endeavor.
Dr. Lloyd earned her undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she was also a four-year varsity field hockey player. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State College of Medicine, followed by a highly competitive six-year Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Her training encompassed the full spectrum of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including cosmetic procedures, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, facial rejuvenation, and body contouring.
Committed to serving beyond the operating room, Dr. Lloyd has participated in multiple international surgical mission trips in places such as Madagascar, Honduras, Zambia, and Vietnam. These experiences deepened her appreciation for the profound impact of compassionate, personalized care on patients from all backgrounds.
A lifelong field hockey player, Dr. Lloyd was a high school First Team All-American and a member of the USA National Team travel squad. The discipline, resilience, and teamwork she developed through athletics continue to inform her calm, focused approach to surgery and her ability to build trusting relationships with patients.
Dr. Lloyd is thrilled to join Salem Plastic Surgery, where she looks forward to continuing the practice’s tradition of warm, patient-centered care. She trained closely with Drs. Tucker and Howell during her time at Wake Forest and shares their dedication to exceptional outcomes and meaningful connections with every patient.
Outside of work, Dr. Lloyd enjoys gardening, cooking, water sports, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their golden retriever, Birdie. Having fallen in love with North Carolina during her training, she is grateful to continue serving the community she now proudly calls home.
