Dr. Hampton A.
Howell
was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in High
Point, North Carolina. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from
Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and
a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Howell received his medical degree
from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Dr. Howell completed his general
surgery and formal plastic surgery residency training at the Grand
Rapids/Michigan State University program, which included Butterworth
Hospital, Blodgett Medical Center, and Saint Mary's Mercy Medical
Center. He was then accepted into the New York Eye and Ear
Infirmary Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship. This additional
year of specialized training in Manhattan was devoted solely to the
art of cosmetic surgery and allowed Dr. Howell the unique opportunity
to work with many of the experts in this field.
Dr. Howell is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the North Carolina Medical Society. In addition to operating at our AAAASF surgical
center, he has privileges at Forsyth Medical Center, Medical Park
Hospital, and Hawthorne Surgical Center.
Dr. Howell enjoys spending time with
family, running, biking, hiking, camping, traveling, and
photography. He is married and has a son and a daughter. Dr. Howell is
excited to be back home in the Triad and to bring his experience and
expertise to Salem Plastic Surgery.
